Job summary

Saft America, Inc. in Jacksonville seeks an IT Manager to lead the IT department, overseeing cybersecurity and site upgrades. You will evaluate technologies, support information systems, and ensure secure, efficient operations for all IT functions at the Jacksonville site.

The role requires a strong background in programming, networks, and system administration across PCs to servers, with a focus on security and reliability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in CIS, IT, CS or equivalent.
  • 10-15 years experience in IT field.
  • Experience from PCs to servers.
  • Knowledge of VB, C#, Java and SQL.
  • Knowledge of networks (Cisco).
  • Strong verbal communication.
  • Certifications such as MSCD/MCSE/MCT a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and monitor cybersecurity technologies.
  • Create/modify MFG/PRO reports.
  • Maximize MFG/PRO performance with software/hardware tools.
  • Configure new devices as required.
  • Monitor and enhance site security systems.
  • Facilitate data/telecom network infrastructure improvements.
  • Manage and maintain Windows and Cisco operating systems; apply programming knowledge.
  • Perform other IT tasks as needed.

All About You

The IT Manager will manage and organize the information technology department to provide support for the use of all information technologies, communications, and electronic security systems in use at the Jacksonville site, as well as evaluate and recommend necessary upgrades and improvements to said systems. In addition, this position is responsible for all aspects of Cybersecurity in the Jacksonville site.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in CIS, IT, Computer Science or equivalent professional work experience
  • 10-15 years experience in related IT field
  • Strong background with computers of various types and sizes from personal computers to servers
  • Knowledge of modern programming languages (VB, C#, Java) and databases (SQL)
  • Knowledge of networks (Cisco)
  • Strong oral communications
  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MSCD) or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), or Microsoft Certified Trainger (MCT) a plus
