Job summary

ADP, Inc. in Benicia, CA is seeking an IT Manager to oversee reliable, secure, and cost-effective day-to-day technology operations across infrastructure, networks, cloud services, cybersecurity, end-user support, applications, vendors, assets, backups, and disaster recovery.

This role provides technical support for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (Aptean Food & Beverage ERP) and leads IT operations, cybersecurity, budgeting, and vendor management in a manufacturing/distribution setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5–7 years IT operations, infrastructure, or technical support experience, including supervision.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Windows, networking, endpoint and security tools; ERP experience preferred.

IT Manager

Salary Range: $150,000.00 To $190,000.00 Annually

Job Summary

The IT Manager oversees reliable, secure, and cost-effective day-to-day technology operations, including infrastructure, networks, cloud services, cybersecurity, end-user support, applications, vendors, assets, backups, and disaster recovery.

Key Responsibilities

IT Operations & Support

• Manage servers, networks, endpoints, cloud services, telecommunications, business applications, and technology used in office, manufacturing, and warehouse environments.
• Maintain system availability through monitoring, patching, maintenance, capacity planning, backups, and timely incident resolution.
• Manage help desk priorities, escalations, user accounts, devices, software deployment, onboarding and offboarding, assets, and technical documentation.
• Support approved Business Central application changes; functional leaders retain ownership of requirements, process design, controls, procedures, and user acceptance.

Cybersecurity & Continuity

• Maintain identity, endpoint, email, network, and access controls; perform security reviews; remediate vulnerabilities; and coordinate incident response.
• Support compliance and audit requirements and protect confidential company, employee, customer, vendor, financial, and operational information.
• Maintain and periodically test backup, restoration, disaster recovery, and IT business continuity procedures.

Vendors, Budget & Projects

• Manage technology vendors, support providers, licensing, renewals, warranties, procurement, contracts, and service performance.
• Manage the approved IT operating and capital budget and execute infrastructure, security, hardware, software, and lifecycle projects.
• Escalate material incidents, risks, resource needs, and scope decisions to the CFO or designated leader.
  • Hands-on knowledge of infrastructure, networks, cloud services, endpoint management, cybersecurity, backup and recovery, and end-user support.
  • Experience managing help desk services, technical documentation, vendors, licensing, assets, budgets, and approved IT projects.
  • Ability to administer Business Central access and technical support without owning functional design or business process decisions.
  • Strong troubleshooting, organization, communication, customer service, follow-through, and discretion.
• Hands-on knowledge of infrastructure, networks, cloud services, endpoint management, cybersecurity, backup and recovery, and end-user support.
• Experience managing help desk services, technical documentation, vendors, licensing, assets, budgets, and approved IT projects.
• Ability to administer Business Central access and technical support without owning functional design or business process decisions.
• Strong troubleshooting, organization, communication, customer service, follow-through, and discretion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Five to seven years of progressive IT operations, infrastructure, systems administration, or technical support experience, including supervision of employees or service providers.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Windows, networking, endpoint and security tools, backups, cloud services, and technology vendors; manufacturing or distribution experience preferred.
• Technical support experience with Business Central, Aptean Food & Beverage ERP, or a comparable ERP preferred; relevant certifications are a plus.

TRAVEL, PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT (AS APPROPRIATE FOR THE POSITION)

• Ability to perform the position’s essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation, including prolonged computer work, standing or walking in office, manufacturing, and warehouse areas, and occasional bending, reaching, stair climbing, and lifting equipment up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to safely work in food manufacturing and warehouse environments and follow applicable safety, sanitation, PPE, and facility requirements; occasional exposure to noise, temperature variations, wet conditions, and moving equipment.

Travel Requirements

• Local and regional travel between company facilities may be required for support, installations, projects, vendor meetings, training, and response to critical technology issues.
• A valid driver’s license and ability to travel independently may be required.
