Job summary

Pellitteri Waste Systems, Inc. in Madison, WI seeks an IT Manager to lead the technology function and align IT with business goals. This hands-on leadership role drives AI initiatives, automation and cost efficiency across transportation, recycling and data destruction operations.

Responsibilities include managing the IT dept, budgeting, vendor contracts and security, while partnering with leadership on technology cost, risk and ROI assessments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 7+ years IT experience or equivalent
• Proven track record in using technology to improve financial and operational metrics
• Strong knowledge of IT systems supporting trucking, fleet operations and data destruction
• Experience with AI, automation and emerging technologies and practical business use

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop the IT department and set priorities
• Develop and execute IT strategies supporting operational and financial goals
• Oversee technology for transportation, MRF ops, recycling and data destruction
• Identify and implement AI, automation and emerging tech to boost efficiency
• Manage IT projects, budgets, vendors, contracts and investments
• Establish IT policies, security standards and data-management practices
• Collaborate with leadership to evaluate costs, risks and ROI
• Ensure compliance with company, state and federal requirements
