Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) invites applications for IT Intern positions (Summer 2027) at our International Falls, MN Paper Mill. The role focuses on helping desk tasks, basic end-user support, and IT operations in a manufacturing environment.

You will assist with computer deployment, document network layouts, and inventory IT equipment. Candidates are pursuing a 4-year Computer Science degree, have a valid driver's license, and can work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Assist with help desk tasks: basic end-user support, deal with any Information Technology related issues - hardware, software, printers, mobile devices, and network.
• Assist with building and deploying computers - Prepare computers, including setting up new computers, clearing data off previously used computers and preparing them for use by another user.
• Assist with network documentation - labeling physical network taps and create drawing and documentation.
• Assist in documenting issues and fixes.
• Inventory and document IT equipment.
• Lifting and transporting of equipment of various weight.
• Clean workstations of malicious software, such as viruses, spyware, etc.
• Perform other related duties as required.

We are seeking applicants for our IT Intern positions (Summer 2027) in our International Falls, MN Paper Mill. The International Falls facility is a White Paper Mill owned by Packaging Corporation of America.

Principle Accountabilities

Basic Qualifications

• Junior or Senior working towards a 4-year degree in Computer Science.
• Must have a current valid driver's license.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Compensation and Benefits

• Starting salary range for position: $29.00 to $30.00 Hourly.
• Paid Holidays.
• Within the first 30 days of employment, an employee (and their dependents) is eligible to enroll in certain benefit coverages -- medical, dental, and vision - and are automatically enrolled in life, AD&D, and disability coverages.
