Job description

Working under the general supervision of the Specialist or Senior Interface Analyst, Project Manager or the Director, the Interface Analyst develops, tests, implements, and supports clinical and administrative data interfaces between Epic and ancillary systems, both internal and external. The role involves production support, including 24x7 on-call duties, and new projects to enhance system integration. The ideal candidate has experience with technical analytical skills, designing and developing interface solutions, and holds certifications in Epic Bridges and Cloverleaf with 6-9 months of experience in both products.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Configure new interfaces and enhance existing interfaces in Epic Bridges and Cloverleaf Interface Engine.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and analyze solutions supporting client workflows and technical requirements.
• Provide input on integration solutions and architecture.
• Collaborate with IT teams, application analysts, clinicians, and vendors to identify needs and implement solutions.
• Participate in workflow and dataflow sessions, and assist in requirements gathering.
• Train end users on Bridges tools as needed.
• Support resolution of interface issues and perform routine maintenance, incident management, and testing.
• Work closely with various departments and vendors to resolve support issues to customer satisfaction.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Associate's Degree or two years of college in relevant fields, or two years of related application maintenance/development experience.
• At least five years of applicable work experience, with three years preferred in a healthcare setting.
• Expertise in healthcare messaging formats like HL7, XML, ANSI X12.
• Experience with SDLC and system implementations.
• Certification in Epic Bridges and Cloverleaf (must be obtained within 6 months if not already certified).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
