Job summary

Interstates is hiring an Infrastructure Administrator to manage and secure our IT infrastructure, provide advanced Tier 2 support, and ensure reliability across servers, networks, and cloud platforms.

The role requires 3–5+ years of relevant experience, hands-on Windows Server/AD/M365, virtualization, and networking skills. Travel up to 35% may be involved. A bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in systems, network, or infrastructure administration.
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server, AD, and Microsoft 365/Exchange Online.
• Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Knowledge of network infrastructure, VPNs, switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Experience with patching, backups, DR, and software deployment.
• Exposure to cloud/hybrid environments and scripting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain servers, virtual environments, network devices, and cloud platforms.
• Configure, deploy, and support hardware, software, and infrastructure services.
• Manage user access, permissions, and account lifecycle processes.
• Monitor system health and uptime; respond to escalated issues.
• Execute patching, backups, replication, and disaster recovery processes.
• Support LAN/WAN, VPN, firewall, and connectivity for internal and remote users.
• Provide advanced Tier 2 troubleshooting for infra, system, and app issues.
• Identify automation opportunities and document repeatable processes.
• Partner with vendors and stakeholders to implement solutions.
• Support security controls and compliance requirements.
