Job summary

The City of Philadelphia is hiring IT Infrastructure Project Managers within the Office of Innovation & Technology’s PMO to lead critical, enterprise-scale projects across city departments. You will analyze business needs, manage scope, plan resources, and ensure timely delivery with fiscal discipline.

Ideal candidates will have a PMP or equivalent, 5+ years of IT project management, and a proven ability to drive cross-functional teams through complex SDLC processes in a large public-sector

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or closely related field.
• PMP and/or equivalent Project Management Certification or Master’s Certificate in Project Management.
• 5 years of generalized Information Technology experience (can be concurrent with above).
• Minimum of 5 years Project Management experience managing multiple, large, cross-functional teams or projects.
• Demonstrate experience with design and building distributed and enterprise solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop, clarify and manage the scope of projects, define contract deliverables and achieve targeted outcomes.
• Ensure project requirements are achieved in a timely fashion and within budget guidelines.
• Assemble project team, identify needed resources, assign responsibilities and develop timeframes to facilitate successful completion of project activities and deliverables.
• Determine project costs and ensure delivery on time and within budgetary guidelines.
• Prepare status reports, status summaries and dashboards for presentation to mid and senior level management.
• Provide coaching and mentoring on project management best practices.
