Job summary

Venteon is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure leader with a strong Cisco networking background to own and evolve our enterprise network and security infrastructure in the Metro Detroit area.

You will blend hands-on technical work with team leadership, manage critical incidents, and drive risk reduction initiatives with IT leadership. A Bachelor's in a related field and 5+ years in IT infrastructure are preferred, along with strong Cisco expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in enterprise IT infrastructure environments.
• 2+ years in a senior engineering, technical lead, or supervisory capacity.
• Hands-on expertise in enterprise networking, firewall and security platforms, Microsoft Storage Spaces Direct (S2D), Windows Failover Clustering, and SQL Server High Availability.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and maintain secure enterprise network environments, including Cisco-based routing and switching.
• Oversee VLAN configuration, routing protocols, redundancy strategies, and secure segmentation.
• Administer and optimize firewall platforms, with preference for Palo Alto technologies.
• Design and maintain VPN connectivity and secure remote access solutions.
• Lead cybersecurity infrastructure initiatives, incident response, and risk reduction in collaboration with IT leadership.
