Job summary

S&C Electric Company is seeking an Assistant Manager, Information Technology to lead Platform & Infrastructure operations, ensuring reliable, secure enterprise services across on-premises and cloud environments. You’ll oversee servers, storage, virtualization, networks, and backup while guiding a team and coordinating with cybersecurity, applications, and vendors.

The role emphasizes developing standards, incident response, and multi-site project execution, with a hybrid on-site schedule

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise IT environments and leading complex initiatives.
• Minimum 1 year of leadership experience overseeing people, projects, or workstreams.
• Broad knowledge of servers, virtualization, storage, networks, and cloud platforms.
• Ability to lead teams, manage escalations, and drive accountability in a service-driven setting.
• Experience with hybrid infrastructure including Microsoft tech, cloud services, and identity systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations for Platform & Infrastructure teams to ensure reliable, secure services.
• Oversee design, maintenance, and lifecycle of servers, storage, backup, and cloud resources.
• Develop SOPs, health metrics, and documentation to improve resilience and audit readiness.
• Lead incident response, root-cause analysis, and patching to reduce outages.
• Plan infrastructure projects, upgrades, migrations, and capacity improvements globally.
• Ensure changes follow cybersecurity, access control, backup, and DR requirements.
