Duties & Responsibilities:
- Administration, configuration and maintenance of the firm's Windows and Azure environments, providing consistent design, deployment, and lifecycle maintenance services for Domain Controllers, Active Directory, Azure AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and other critical services supporting the Windows domain environment.
- Ensuring that best practices, security, and maintenance are practiced for all functions of Active Directory and Azure AD, including lifecycle of user objects, groups, permissions, external federation, and managing data synchronization.
- Administration, configuration, maintenance and lifecycle management of the firm's information technology infrastructure, ensuring that all security and best practice requirements are followed for every system, including Servers, Storage systems, Data Protection, Private/Public cloud, Networking equipment, Access and Environmental control systems, Peripheral technology, Monitoring systems, and Communication systems.
- Assists with configuration, implementation and maintenance of datacenter networking and equipment necessary to operate servers and storage when required.
- Assists with the implementation of the firm's various data protection policies, adhering to the defined data retention and recovery requirements via the configuration, implementation and maintenance of platforms such as Cohesity and Veeam’s backup technologies.
- Monitors all of the firm’s IT equipment, quickly responding, troubleshooting and resolving incidents as they occur to prevent outages or data loss.
- Applies patches, firmware updates, and OS upgrades, following all security best practices, to any and all physical and virtual servers, storage resources, as well as other physical IT-related assets across the firm.
- Assist in the Administration of remote access technologies and outside connections to Firm resources, including design, deployment, securing, and lifecycle maintenance for Remote Desktop Services (RDS).
- Assists in support and/or physical installation of the firm's physical networking environment, such as switches, routers and firewalls as required.
- Assists the Applications team and vendors as necessary with application installation and updates.
- Provide proactive identification of system resource issues and planning for growth.
- Provide assistance with the design, deployment, and maintenance services for IT Infrastructure projects at large.
- Ensure all design, deployment, configuration, and upgrades are completed with adequate testing, preparation, and support, creating and maintaining documentation throughout the process.
- Ensure all scheduled operational and maintenance tasks are completed accurately and on time and documented properly.
- Adhere to all IT Department standards and Firm Information Security Policies.
- Assist with decommissioning of firm hardware, ensuring data has been wiped from all resources in preparation for proper recycling of e-waste.
- Provide timely and relevant in-house escalation support, adhering to ticketing procedures and SLA requirements.
- Adhere to IT ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) disciplines and processes.
- Obtains, maintains, and applies knowledge of relevant areas.

- Ability to travel to and occasionally work on-site in Taft’s current and future data center locations.
Education and Experience:
- Education, related training, experience, or IT certifications that demonstrate the ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Experience with Microsoft Server, including Active Directory, Azure AD, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and ADFS.
- Experience with physical maintenance of hardware.
- Experience working with various storage technologies.
- 5+ years of work experience in supporting IT infrastructure services.
- Experience working with Exchange, Isilon, and VMware administration desired.
- Familiarity with LAN/WAN technologies.
- Familiarity with data protection platforms desired.
- Familiarity with Solar Winds desired.
- Microsoft, VMware and Cisco certifications desired.
- Familiarity with helpdesk ticketing systems desired.
- Law Firm experience preferred.
