Job summary

Invenergy, LLC is seeking a Network Engineer to design, implement, and support the enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure in a hybrid Chicago-based role. You will work with Cisco routers/switches, Palo Alto firewalls, and Aruba wireless solutions to ensure reliability, security, and compliance.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of enterprise networking experience, strong scripting ability, and knowledge of NERC CIP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
• 3+ years of network engineering in an enterprise environment.
• Experience configuring Cisco routers and switches.
• Experience with Palo Alto firewalls and Aruba access points.
• Knowledge of layer 2/3 designs and network security.
• Familiarity with NERC CIP compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain enterprise LAN/WAN networks using Cisco gear.
• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Palo Alto Networks firewalls, VPNs, and security policies.
• Implement and support Aruba wireless access, controllers, and clearpass policy management.
• Develop and maintain network diagrams, runbooks, and SOPs.
• Design, build, and maintain scripts (Python/PowerShell) to automate tasks.
• Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation for critical support.
