Overview

ARES is seeking an experienced manager to provide oversight and management for the IT and Information Management Services group in support of the NASA Enterprise Multimedia and Integrated Technical Services (eMITS) contract. eMITS is the Agency’s enterprise-level contract creating and delivering multimedia and technical communications through the use of the internet, digital platforms, and IT management for NASA’s Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) and Office of Communications (OCOMM). From photographing rocket launches and recoveries, to producing engaging videos, to information technology management, to using social media to share NASA’s message, eMITS integrates services for NASA IT and provides NASA’s communication to the outside world. For Remote and Hybrid positions the employee must have a reliable internet connection and be able to VPN into the NASA network to conduct work.

Job Description / Functional Responsibilities
  • Serves as the manager of IT and Information Management Services, a department with over 120 people supporting NASA customers across the United States.
  • Candidate must have a diverse background interfacing with customers and managing configuration management, project management, business analysis, system architecture, and cybersecurity personnel in a fast-paced and ever-evolving NASA contractor environment.
Education and Previous Work Requirements
  • Must have a BA/BS and 10 years of directly related IT Management experience. Previous NASA Experience.
Experience / Competencies / Skills

Minimum Requirements:

  • Estimating/managing departmental budgets in excess of 5 million dollars/year
  • Managing a diverse organization with over 75 employees
  • Managing employees/work located at multiple locations across the continental United States
  • Working with multiple customers to establish relationships and discuss requirements, budget, work status, address issues.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneNote, OneDrive), SharePoint, and Box.
Qualifications

NASA experience is highly desired.
