IT Help Desk Technician Level 2 | Full-time

We are currently seeking an IT Help Desk Technician Level 2 to join our corporate team in Cottage Grove, WI. This position is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of all IT related functions, including system and network administration, server maintenance, performing system monitoring and back-up operations, implementation of operating system patches and upgrades, equipment maintenance, and the provision of general and high level IT support.

Anticipated Schedule:

Position will be IN-OFFICE. Located at our Cottage Grove, WI headquarters

Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Responsibilities:

  • Provide highest level support per request from various constituencies – break/fix for internal and remote
  • Contribution to and maintenance of systems standards
  • Developing and maintaining installation and configuration procedures
  • Installation and configuration of data center and user equipment
  • Daily system monitoring and proactive maintenance of data center and user equipment
  • Monitoring and executing daily backup operations
  • Participation in rotating on-call status during the week and weekends
  • System security, including adherence to documented processes and procedures and compliance auditing
  • Assisting team members in troubleshooting and resolving any IT related issues

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree with a focus on Information Technology and/or other technical major
  • Microsoft Desktop and or Server technology certifications are strongly preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years Technical Support experience in a small to mid-size business
  • Microsoft Office 365 administration and configuration
  • Microsoft Windows installation and configuration
  • Working knowledge of vendor-agnostic solutions: Antivirus, Backup, Monitoring, Ticketing
  • Problem management skills in a fast paced, widely distributed environment
  • Knowledgeable in technical documentation and standard operating procedures
  • Ability to work independently with limited direction
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with confidential information
  • Detail oriented and organized, able to multi-task and prioritize
  • Ability to travel as required.
