We are currently seeking an IT Hardware Sourcing Manager to join our team in Tokyo, Japan.

Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation established NTT Global Sourcing, Inc. in 2018, headquartered in the United States. This company specializes in sourcing and contracting, consolidating enterprise spend across NTT Group companies to negotiate prices and execute agreements with global vendors for hardware, software, and services. Our goal is to enhance NTT Group’s global presence, formalize strategic partnerships, reduce costs, and deliver innovative, cost-effective services to clients.

Responsibilities

1. Establish sourcing and partnership strategies for the IT Hardware spend category for OEMs, local distributors, and resellers in Japan.
2. Analyze market conditions, competitive landscape, customer requirements, pricing trends, and benchmarks to develop sourcing and negotiation strategies for internal use and resale.
3. Manage price negotiations effectively to achieve cost savings.

Work Experience

• Minimum of 3-5 years in strategic sourcing or category management, with significant experience in the IT Hardware sector.
• Proven track record of managing tough price negotiations and driving cost savings and performance improvements.
• Strong motivation to understand IT sector pricing, rebate models, and value-added services offered by major vendors globally.
• Experience working with vendors such as Dell Japan, HP Japan, Cisco Japan, Fujitsu, NEC, CTC, Net One Systems, Daiwabo, etc.

Additional Details

This is a full-time, salaried position within NTT Global Sourcing. We do not consider 1099 or corp-2-corp contractors. Benefits are comprehensive and start from your first day.
