Join us as an IT Financial Analyst I - IS Portfolio Governance at Keck Medicine of USC

We are seeking a dedicated IT Financial Analyst I to support the financial operations of our health system. Under the supervision of the Senior Finance Manager, you will assist with operational budget management, financial analysis, and cost-saving initiatives. Your role involves preparing financial reports, supporting budget development, and collaborating with department staff to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Understand and explain budget variances and interpret financial data.
  • Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and ad hoc analyses.
  • Contribute to the annual IS budget preparation.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel for creating charts, graphs, and data analysis.
  • Manage requisitions and invoice processing for contracts, especially maintenance.
  • Create financial forecasts and perform year-over-year financial analysis.
  • Interpret and analyze the financial implications of contracts and change orders.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and comply with hospital and regulatory standards.
  • Support training and guidance for junior staff and other departments.
  • Perform additional financial tasks and special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Experience in healthcare or similar environments.
  • IT knowledge is a plus.
Licenses/Certifications:
  • Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) or obtain within 30 days of hire.

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $29.00 to $45.20, based on experience and qualifications.
