Status: Full time

Hours Per Week: 40

Schedule Details/Additional Information: Monday-Friday, 8am - 5pm with some weekend and after hours work depending on project.

Pay Range: $50.05 - $75.10

Major Responsibilities
  • Manages the development and execution of large or complex enterprise wide health care information technology demands, projects, or programs. Ensures adherence to budget, schedule and scope and business needs using established Enterprise Project Management Office processes and standards. Establishes targets, benchmarks, and success criteria for project delivery and plans, organizes, controls, and evaluates projects from initiation to implementation. Work with stakeholders to effectively utilize all project resources, people, and equipment, through all phases of the demand or project to achieve identified goals and objectives. Steers large, complex, high-priority projects with vision and leadership, driving alignment with strategic objectives and ensuring milestones are achieved on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.
  • Develops project demands based on the initial idea request. Captures information such as stakeholders, objectives, requirements, desired dates, milestones, budget estimates, and resource needs. Captures, seeks to eliminate, and monitors risk throughout the approval life cycle. Captures decisions or assumptions made, issues identified, and records actions taken. Monitors and reviews demand approval progress.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including status reports, project plans, and financial records. Develops strategic project plans including information such as project objectives, requirements, scheduling, milestones, budget management, resource management, risk management, and change management. Continuous tracking of deliverables to project objectives. Actively identifies, mitigates, and tracks potential risks during the entire project lifecycle and manages the execution of mitigation plans when triggered. May need to organize and/or join site visits, create site layouts, and determine the placement of equipment and infrastructure, as necessary.
  • Initiates and facilitates risk identification, establishes mitigation plans and manages their execution when triggered. Captures decisions made and records actions taken.
  • Manages changes in project scope, schedule, and budget using established change control processes. Holds vendors/vendor resources accountable to meet agreed upon deliverables.
  • Monitors, reviews, and documents progress towards project milestones and deliverables, actively evaluating the quality of work. Guides project team members and stakeholders to identify and solve issues by utilizing project management knowledge and industry standards. Collaborates with Information Technology teams to ensure solution compliance with approved enterprise technical direction and architectural practices.
  • Sets and continually manages expectations with all stakeholders. Establishes a clear Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed (RACI) matrix, escalation path, and holds team members accountable. Establishes and executes timely communication plans, keeping all stakeholders abreast of variances and deviations to plan. Produces routine status reports and executive reports as needed, and holds regular status meetings. Guides and directs the daily work efforts of teammates. Assigns duties and responsibilities to teammates. Provides effective role modeling, mentoring and coaching throughout the course of the demand or project.
  • Conducts post-implementation evaluations and lessons learned sessions to assess project outcomes, ensure benefits and quality standards are met, and capture key insights. Contributes lessons learned to the Organization’s Process Assets (OPA’s) and knowledge base. Ensures accurate, complete, and well-planned changes into production, following all change guidelines. Contributes toward achieving department performance goals.
  • Uses appropriate methods and flexible interpersonal style and coaching to develop other Project Managers’ capabilities. Provides guidance in how to strengthen knowledge, skills and abilities to improve personal and organizational performance. Motivates team members to work together in the most efficient manner, mitigating team conflict and communication breakdowns. Provides input/recommendations to leadership regarding corrective action or problem resolution on demands, projects, or programs.
  • Assists in developing documented processes, techniques, and tools that are part of the demand and project management methodology. Responsible for identifying and implementing changes based on best practices to improve the methodology. Keeps abreast of the latest strategies and trends and implements changes to increase productivity, as needed.
  • Demonstrate proficiency and coaching and guidance in leveraging Organizational Change Management concepts and methodology to facilitate smooth transitions and maximize adoption of new processes, technologies, and initiatives within our dynamic work environment.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) required.
Education Required
  • Bachelor's Degree or 6+ years of experience required (or equivalent knowledge) in Information Technology or related field.
Experience Required
  • Typically requires 6+ years. Advanced project management experience in Information Technology with a proven record of successful project delivery.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities to include demand and project management while coordinating and motivating teammates toward common goals. Ability to establish goals, milestones, and priorities, and to instruct, guide, assign, advise and mentor demand and/or project teams. Ability to mentor ePMO teammates.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex high-priority projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Proven ability for risk identification, assessment, and contingency planning.
  • Proficient in the use of project management methodologies and processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft O365, Project and Strategic Portfolio Management Tools (ServiceNow)
  • Ability to learn and understand business processes quickly and the overall impact projects have on the business needs of the organization.
  • Written and oral communication skills with demonstrated ability to concisely communicate and present complex concepts. Demonstrated ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels, including C-Suite roles.
  • Highly motivated, organized, autonomous, self-starter with a focus on delivery of key project objectives and ability to work through large complex projects challenges.
  • Strong facilitation and persuasion skills with ability to influence others.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, prioritization, and time management skills.
  • Proven critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills with ability to consider financial impact of decisions.
  • Willingness to build and foster relationships both internal and external to the organization.
  • Coaches and mentors demand and/or project teammates on project management methodologies and approaches.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
  • This position requires travel, as a result, exposure to varying weather and road conditions.
  • Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
  • Exposed to a normal office environment as well as clinical environments.
  • Evening or weekend hours may be required on occasion dependent upon project requirements
