Job summary

Rho in NYC is hiring an IT Engineer to own the technology backbone that keeps our New York City office and distributed team running. You’ll be the go-to person for employee IT support, device and identity management, and the systems and tooling that help Rho move fast.

This is a hands-on, in-office role based in our NYC office — ideal for someone who loves solving problems for colleagues and building scalable IT operations at a high-growth fintech.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in IT support or IT operations, preferably in fast-growing setups.
• Hands-on macOS and Windows admin experience with MDM and SSO.
• Strong knowledge of Google Workspace and Slack administration.
• Experience managing office IT infrastructure, networking and AV.
• Excellent troubleshooting and customer-service mindset.
• Clear written documentation and onboarding for non-technical teammates.
• On-site work 5 days a week in NYC.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary IT contact for employee hardware, software, access, and troubleshooting.
• Own device lifecycle across macOS and Windows, including provisioning and offboarding.
• Administer core identity and SaaS systems, including onboarding/offboarding.
• Manage NYC office IT infrastructure, networking, AV, and conference rooms.
• Build IT processes, runbooks, and self-service resources as the company scales.
• Collaborate with Security, People, and Finance on access controls and asset management.
• Lead IT onboarding for new hires to ensure a smooth day-one experience.

About the Role

Rho is hiring an IT Engineer to own the technology backbone that keeps our New York City office and distributed team running. You'll be the go-to person for employee IT support, device and identity management, and the systems and tooling that help Rho move fast. Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for all employee IT support — hardware, software, access, and troubleshooting — with a focus on fast, friendly resolution.

• Own device lifecycle management across macOS and Windows, including procurement, provisioning, MDM, and secure offboarding.

• Administer core identity and SaaS systems (SSO, Google Workspace, Slack, and related tools), including access onboarding and offboarding.

• Manage the NYC office's IT infrastructure — networking, AV, conference rooms, and on-site hardware.

• Build and document IT processes, runbooks, and self-service resources that scale as Rho grows.

• Partner with Security, People, and Finance on access controls, compliance, and asset management.

• Lead IT onboarding for new hires and ensure a seamless day-one experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT support or IT operations experience, ideally in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

• Hands-on expertise administering macOS and Windows, MDM tools, and identity/SSO platforms.

• Strong working knowledge of Google Workspace, Slack, and common SaaS administration.

• Experience managing office IT infrastructure, including networking, AV, and conference room technology.

• Excellent troubleshooting skills and a customer-service mindset — you make IT feel easy for your colleagues.

• A clear communicator who can document processes and support non-technical teammates.

• Willing and able to work on-site 5 days per week in our NYC office.

Our people are our most valuable asset. The salary range for this role is $90,000 - $180,000. In addition to base pay, Rho offers equity, healthcare benefits and paid time off.
