Selective Insurance Company of America is seeking motivated, self-directed individuals to join our Information Technology Early Career Development Program. This full-time, three-year rotational program offers hands-on experience across software engineering, data, cloud, cybersecurity, and more.

Participants gain technical, business, and leadership capabilities through three one-year rotations, mentored by technology leaders and fellow early-career professionals.

Responsibilities

• Deliver business value by developing various technical solutions; depending on current role this could include programming, infrastructure, security or architecture solutions.
• Leverage modern technologies, including artificial intelligence, automation, cloud platforms, data solutions, and software engineering practices to solve business challenges.
• Have a Continuous Improvement mindset; take ownership, lead and drive the adoption of new or improved technologies, patterns and processes
• Communicate with others across the organization, bridging gaps and building relationships to solve complex problems
• Perform analysis by independently seeking out required information, raising concerns, considering others perspectives and articulating recommendations to a broad audience
• Research and evaluate alternative solutions and recommend the most efficient and scalable, secure, maintainable, and business-aligned solutions for the system's design.
• Work closely with your team and stakeholders to identify complex requirements and processes for diverse development platforms, software, hardware, technologies, tools, etc.
