IT DIRECTOR – Strategy, Portfolio and Performance

This senior role is responsible for shaping the strategic direction of the IT organization, driving performance management practices, and overseeing Analog’s IT investment portfolio. The role ensures IT strategies align with business goals, investment decisions deliver measurable value, and collaborates across IT leaders and partners to meet performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.

The leader will oversee strategic program management for the enterprise, ensure consistent management routines for portfolio and investment reviews, strategy updates, and performance assessments. This role is also a key enabler for IT transformation initiatives.

The individual will work with business strategy leaders and IT leadership in a collaborative, matrixed environment to achieve objectives, operating effectively amidst ambiguity, pressure, and establishing organizational structure and focus.

What You’ll Do:
  1. IT Strategy and Planning: Partner with CIO and business leaders to define and evolve enterprise IT strategy, translate strategic priorities into multi-year roadmaps, analyze technology trends, and develop plans to rationalize legacy systems and drive initiatives in Cloud, AI, DevOps, and Data platforms.
  2. Strategic Portfolio Management and Investment: Manage IT portfolio intake, prioritize initiatives, monitor portfolio health, and ensure alignment with strategic goals. Facilitate regular reviews, influence decision-making, and report on portfolio status to executives.
  3. Performance Management: Develop KPIs aligned with business outcomes, implement dashboards, and lead IT maturity assessments to ensure transparency and accountability.
  4. Governance and Operating Model: Establish governance frameworks, decision rights, and routines, and facilitate leadership reviews and communication strategies around IT value and performance.
  5. Supplier Relationship: Collaborate with Procurement to manage supplier partnerships, ensuring strategic value, performance, and compliance.
What We’re Looking For:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, MBA, or equivalent experience
  • 13+ years of related experience, including 6+ years in leadership
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with experience in advising/consulting
  • Proven experience in enterprise-wide IT digital transformation and investments
  • Deep knowledge of enterprise technology trends (Cloud, AI, Data, ERP, DevOps, integration platforms)
  • Familiarity with product delivery models, ITIL, SAFe Agile, COBIT
  • Experience working in regulated environments (FedRamp, SOX, Healthcare, etc.)

Critical Skills/Experience:

  • Leadership in developing and executing IT strategy and transformation for over 5 years
  • Experience in digital literacy, strategic decision-making, and portfolio management
  • Ability to lead large, cross-functional programs and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and change management skills
  • Experience in organizational transformation and change management
  • Educational background: Bachelor’s in Computer Science, IT, or related; Master’s preferred
