Job Overview:

The IT Director is responsible for leading the strategic planning, implementation, and management of the company’s IT infrastructure to support business objectives. This role ensures the organization maintains a secure, scalable, and state-of-the-art IT architecture while driving digital transformation initiatives. The IT Director will lead a team responsible for maintaining operational excellence across all systems, software, networks, and security measures, ensuring alignment with business goals and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership and IT Architecture

  • Develop and implement an IT strategy that aligns with the company's business goals and drives digital transformation.
  • Design, implement, and manage the organization’s IT architecture, ensuring it is secure, scalable, and supports business requirements.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of policies, procedures, and system documentation to ensure IT infrastructure integrity and security.
  • Ensure continuous improvement and innovation in IT solutions, incorporating emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.

Infrastructure and Operations Management

  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and ongoing operations of servers, networks, SANs, and supporting infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of IT assets, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, and disposal, ensuring accurate inventory tracking.
  • Ensure efficient IT support operations, overseeing helpdesk functions to provide high-quality user support and issue resolution.
  • Experience managing IT infrastructure for remote/hybrid workforces.
  • Implementation of collaboration tools and remote access solutions.
  • Ensuring security in distributed work environments.

Cybersecurity and Compliance

  • Develop and implement robust cybersecurity policies and protocols to protect organizational data and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards, including data protection and IT governance requirements.
  • Lead the risk management strategy, including vulnerability assessments and incident response.
  • Developing and testing comprehensive disaster recovery plans and regular backup and recovery testing.
  • Establishing business continuity protocols for critical IT systems.

Team Leadership and Collaboration

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the IT team, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement technology solutions that enhance business productivity.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with Headquarters in Germany for IT service integration and product implementation.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure effective service delivery and cost management.

Project Management and Digital Transformation

  • Lead digital transformation initiatives, including implementation and management of software required for business.
  • Drive the adoption of cloud-based solutions and SaaS platforms to enhance operational efficiency and scalability.
  • Ensure the successful delivery of IT projects within budget and timelines, leveraging agile and traditional project management methodologies.

Change Management

  • Experience leading organizational change related to technology adoption.
  • Development of training programs for new technology implementations.
  • Stakeholder communication strategies during digital transformation or implementations.

We offer an annual gross salary between $130,000 and $165,000 for full-time employment, depending on professional qualifications and experience.
