Vaco by Highspring is seeking an IT Director to join our Indianapolis-area team on a full-time basis. The role is hands-on and will drive IT stability, security, and modernization across the organization, while leading a small IT team and partnering with senior leadership.

Responsibilities include overseeing Microsoft 365, Windows servers, AD/Entra ID, SSO, Entra/Intune transitions, and hybrid infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive IT experience with hands-on leadership.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft identity, Windows infrastructure and Intune.
• Knowledge of networking, security, backup/recovery, and multi-site operations.

Vaco Technology is currently recruiting for an IT Director for a full-time direct hire located on the west side of Indy. This hands‑on IT Director will be brought in to modify, stabilize, and secure IT across the organization. You will also manage a small IT team and assist with complex issues, and partner with senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Own IT operations that include Microsoft 365, Windows servers, endpoints, networking, backup/recovery, and end‑user support.
• Manage Active Directory and Entra ID, including provisioning, Single Sign On, synchronization, and group management
• Lead the transition to Entra and Intune managed endpoints.
• Develop and maintain the on‑prem, cloud, and hybrid infrastructure.
• Oversee security, incident readiness, and disaster recovery
• Improve IT support, documentation, automation, and operational processes
• Lead, coach, and develop the IT team while establishing clear priorities and performance standards
• Manage vendors, contracts, licensing, budgets, and technology costs

Qualifications

• Looking for 10+ years of progressive IT experience with hands‑on technical and leadership responsibility
• Strong expertise in Microsoft identity, Windows infrastructure and Intune
• Solid knowledge of networking, security, backup/recovery, and multi‑site IT operations
• Demonstrated ability to coach, lead and address performance issues
