MACOM is seeking a mid-level DevOps Engineer to join the EDA Infrastructure team in Lowell, MA. You will own and improve CI/CD pipelines, manage EDA tool licenses, and troubleshoot Linux system issues that affect engineering productivity.

You will collaborate with hardware design, verification, and software teams to keep Cadence, Ansys, Siemens EDA, and Keysight tools available, while optimizing build times and reliability in a fast-paced semiconductor environment.

Formación

• 3–5 years in DevOps, systems engineering, or EDA infrastructure in a hardware design environment.
• Hands-on with GitLab CI/CD pipelines, runners, API, and webhooks.
• Experience administering Cadence, Siemens EDA, or Keysight EDA tools.
• Strong Linux systems skills — RHEL preferred; proficient at troubleshooting, scripting, and performance analysis.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Salt.
• Working knowledge of NFS, LDAP/Active Directory integration, and enterprise networking fundamentals.
• Experience with cloud-based EDA burst compute (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).

Responsabilidades

• Design, maintain, and optimize GitLab CI/CD pipelines for hardware and software builds.
• Manage GitLab repositories, access controls, merge requests, and branch protection rules.
• Implement GitLab Runners on Linux hosts and container environments; tune executor configurations for EDA workloads.
• Monitor pipeline health, diagnose failures, and drive mean-time-to-recovery improvements.
• Install, configure, and upgrade Cadence, Ansys, Siemens EDA, and Keysight tools across multi-user Linux environments.
• Administer license servers; monitor utilization; troubleshoot checkout failures.
• Diagnose and resolve Linux system issues including kernel panics, NFS/storage failures, memory leaks, and network problems.
• Configure and monitor cluster compute farms and shared storage for EDA data.
• Automate repetitive sysadmin tasks with Ansible playbooks and shell/Python scripts.
