Job summary

MCPc Incorporated in Grand Rapids, MI is hiring a Configuration Technician to pre-configure IT equipment prior to shipment, ensuring quality and proper functionality before dispatch. You will follow instructions, kit equipment, unbox/rebox, and test devices per customer requirements.

The role includes lifting up to 60 lbs, standing, and using basic tools; candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED and a valid driver's license with limited points.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 1 year of experience or relevant training.
• Valid Driver's License (less than 6 points) to adhere to insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Follow specific written work instructions to provision and configure IT devices based on customer requirements.
• Basic kitting of equipment based on customer requirements.
• Unbox, re-box and process equipment for shipping.
• Clean, test, and inspect IT devices.
• Escalate technical or other issues to your immediate supervisor.
• Participate in internal departmental and project meetings.
• Offer suggestions on improving processes and efficiencies.
• Other duties as assigned.
