Job summary

Clearview Cancer Institute in north Alabama seeks an IT Desktop Support Specialist to provide hands-on technical support to staff and clinicians across locations. The role requires experience in desktop support, strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and hardware, with healthcare EMR/EHR familiarity considered a plus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral support for staff at multiple clinic locations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
• Set up and configure new workstations, user accounts, and access permissions.
• Support staff in using clinical software, including ARIA (Varian), Microsoft 365, and other enterprise systems.
• Assist with system upgrades, migrations, and IT infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with the broader IT team on data cleanup, equipment rollouts, and departmental improvements.

Job Summary

The IT Desktop Support Specialist will provide hands‑on technical support to staff and clinicians across all locations. Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required

Education/Certification

• Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field preferred.
• CompTIA Network+, A+ and/or Microsoft Certification(s) preferred.

Experience

• Proven experience in desktop support, help desk, or technical support role (2+ years preferred).
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and common hardware/peripherals.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
• Experience in a healthcare setting or familiarity with EMR/EHR systems is a plus.
