Description

The IT DC Support Specialist will provide on-site technical support for our company's distribution centers and satellite locations. The successful candidate will work closely with the local IT team to ensure all computer systems and equipment operate efficiently. Responsibilities include providing end-user support, troubleshooting issues, and resolving hardware and software problems. Collaboration with the Director of IT Desktop Operations and remote IT team is also required. This role is ideal for a skilled IT professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about technology.

Responsibilities
  • Provide first-line support to users via phone, email, or in-person, resolving issues related to desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and other IT equipment.
  • Install and configure software applications, operating systems, and hardware.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, diagnose problems, and perform maintenance.
  • Monitor system performance, identify issues, and take corrective actions to ensure smooth operation.
  • Maintain accurate records of support activities, including incident tickets, configurations, and user accounts.
  • Provide technical training to users to ensure proficiency with IT equipment and software.
  • Perform system backups and recovery procedures to secure data.
  • Assist in developing and implementing IT policies and procedures.
  • Travel occasionally to other centers and locations for support.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT support, providing expert-level support for various IT equipment.
  • Advanced knowledge of hardware, software, and OS, including Windows and Mac.
  • Strong networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory.
  • Experience with IT security practices, firewalls, intrusion detection, and malware protection.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve complex issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration and user support.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams, with a focus on customer service.
