Roles and Responsibilities

Dive into the exciting world of database administration with us! As a maestro of Teradata activities and application database administrative worksets, you'll be orchestrating the following:

1. Directing programmers and analysts to perform magical transformations on existing databases and database management systems.
2. Guiding others in crafting logical and physical database descriptions.
3. Reviewing project requests that describe database user needs, and estimating the time and cost.
4. Approving, scheduling, planning, and supervising the installation and testing of new products and improvements to computer systems.
5. Implementing security measures to safeguard information in computer files against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification, or disclosure.
6. Developing standards and guidelines to guide the use and acquisition of software.
7. Performing other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

To be the hero we need, you must possess:

• Teradata knowledge tools and utilities.
• Informatica, Unix, Linux, SQL, Viewpoint, and Data mover skills.

Education and experience wise, a high school degree and a 2-year technical degree in computer programming or equivalent training/work experience are required. A bachelor's degree is preferred, along with 4 to 5 years of experience. But hey, we're flexible!
