Job summary

Qualifications

Job Title: IT Data and Analytics Contractor

Duration: 12 months on contract with possible extension

Core Responsibilities

• Analyze and reverse-engineer existing legacy data flows


• Design and build new, streamlined data pipelines using SQL Server and existing ETL tools


• Migrate and transform data from legacy systems into more modern structures


• Validate data accuracy and ensure integrity during migration


• Partner with business and technical teams to understand data usage and dependencies

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)


• 7 years of experience in data engineering, data integration, or related roles


• Advanced proficiency in SQL, including complex query development, performance tuning, and large-scale data transformations


• Strong experience working with SQL Server environments, including database design, optimization, and administration concepts


• Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as SSIS, DTS, Informatica, or comparable platforms


• Proven experience working within and modernizing legacy data environments, including mainframe or highly customized systems


• Demonstrated ability to analyze, reverse-engineer, and document undocumented or poorly documented data flows


• Experience designing and implementing scalable data pipelines and migration strategies


• Strong understanding of data validation, reconciliation, and data quality best practices


• Ability to work independently and take ownership in ambiguous, complex environments with limited documentation
