HF Sinclair in Dallas, TX is seeking a Summer 2027 IT Data Analytics Intern to collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors, driving data-driven decisions. You will gain hands-on experience in analytics, AI, and automation, supporting real business challenges.

No prior experience is required; enrollment in CS or related master’s/undergrad program is expected, with familiarity with SQL, Python, Power BI, and data visualization tools.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or master's program in CS or a related field.
• Familiarity with databases, data visualization, and AI/ML tools.
• No prior experience required; exposure to AI, analytics or programming is a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and implementing data collection, analysis, and AI-driven processes.
• Gather, clean, and analyze data from diverse sources to uncover trends and actionable insights.
• Support the development and deployment of machine learning models and AI solutions for business use cases.
• Apply data analytics and AI techniques to conduct analyses using Excel, SQL, Power BI, Alteryx, Snowflake, and Azure tools.
• Prepare compelling data visualizations and reports to communicate findings and recommendations.
• Collaborate with team members to provide analytical and AI support for ongoing projects.
• Proactively manage tickets and tasks, ensuring timely follow-up and completion.
• Participate in special assignments or projects involving AI, automation, and data science as assigned by your supervisor.

You will gain hands‑on experience in analytics, artificial intelligence, and automation, supporting real business challenges.

Job Duties

• Assist in designing and implementing data collection, analysis, and AI-driven processes.
• Gather, clean, and analyze data from diverse sources to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights using advanced analytics and AI tools.
• Support the development and deployment of machine learning models and AI solutions for business use cases.
• Apply data analytics and AI techniques to conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses using tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, Alteryx, Snowflake, and Azure tools.
• Prepare compelling data visualizations and reports to communicate findings and recommendations.
• Collaborate with team members to provide analytical and AI support for ongoing projects.
• Proactively manage tickets and tasks, ensuring timely follow-up and completion.
• Participate in special assignments or projects involving AI, automation, and data science as assigned by your supervisor.

EXPERIENCE

No prior experience required; exposure to AI, analytics, or programming is a plus.

Education Level

Currently enrolled in an Undergraduate or Master's Program for Computer Science or a related discipline is required.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Familiarity with databases, data visualization, and AI/ML tools (e.g., Snowflake, Power BI, Azure AI, Python, etc.).
• Strong interest in technology, artificial intelligence, and analytics.
