U.S. Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, Financial Service Center in Chesapeake, Virginia, seeks a GS-2210-13 IT Cybersecurity Specialist to assess and secure enterprise IT systems.

Candidates must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-12, including IT systems analysis, security control assessments, vulnerability evaluations, and cross-network interoperability testing within DHS/USCG and partner networks.

Qualifications

• Specialized experience may include IT systems analysis to evaluate architecture, performance, security posture, and life-cycle requirements for enterprise financial systems or major IT infrastructure.
• Specialized experience may include leading IT test and evaluation initiatives, including security control assessments, vulnerability evaluations, and system interoperability testing for financial and mission-critical applications.
• Specialized experience may include analyzing stakeholder and business requirements to plan, design, and direct full life-cycle system development projects for financial management and enterprise IT applications operating across DHS/USCG and external partner networks.
• Specialized experience may include analyzing and translating functional and security specifications for systems operating across enterprise boundaries (such as USCG and DHS networks) and external trading partners.

Job description

This vacancy is for a GS-2210-13, IT Cybersecurity Specialist located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, USCG FINANCIAL SERVICE CENTER in CHESAPEAKE, Virginia.

To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the federal or private sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include performing the following types of tasks on a regular basis.

NOTE: Education cannot be substituted for experience at this grade level.
