The City of High Point is seeking an IT Cybersecurity Manager to oversee security operations, threat detection, and incident response for enterprise systems. You will supervise cybersecurity personnel and vendors while partnering with IT teams to protect confidentiality, integrity, and availability of city technology resources.
Requires a bachelor’s in cybersecurity or related field and 5 years of IT/security experience with security programs.
Compensation Range $92,607.68 - $125,693.13

The IT Cybersecurity Manager leads the City's security operations and cyber defense program, including threat detection, incident response, vulnerability remediation, governance, and secure operating standards for enterprise systems. This position manages cybersecurity operations personnel and vendors, while partnering with IT teams and departments to maintain the confidentiality, integrity, availability, and recoverability of City technology resources. Work is performed under the general supervision of the IT Services Assistant Director.
The work location of this job will be 211 S Hamilton St High Point, North Carolina.

In lieu of or in addition to background screening, candidates selected for employment in a position that requires working with children in any capacity must be fingerprinted and undergo a criminal history record check conducted by the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation. Certain positions are considered so critical to the health and safety of others that a candidate cannot place in any such position without passing an pre-placement physical exam.
The City offers employment to successful candidates conditioned upon the City’s receipt of satisfactory results from all required screenings, checks, and exams, as applicable.
