San Jacinto College is seeking an experienced hands-on instructor to join our Computer Information Technology programs with a focus on networking, systems administration, programming, cybersecurity, AI, and data analytics.

The role requires a 9-month faculty appointment with a physical presence on campus, teaching across diverse delivery methods and contributing to student success and program development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, cybersecurity, AI, or related discipline.
• Three years of full-time work experience in IT, cybersecurity, AI, or related roles.
• Familiarity with NIST CSF, NIST AI RMF, CIS Controls, and ISO/IEC 27001.

Responsibilities

• Stay up-to-date with developments in IT, cybersecurity, and AI.
• Teach courses using varied delivery methods to meet student needs.
• Provide feedback and respond promptly to student inquiries.
• Develop syllabi and lab activities aligned with standards.
• Participate in designing innovative course content and teaching materials.
• Engage in professional development and reflect on teaching practices.
• Contribute to college committees, recruitment, and student success efforts.
• Support program accreditation and industry partnerships.
