Job summary

Alliance of Professionals & Consultants, Inc. (APC) in Greenville, SC is seeking a cyber security operations lead for a 12+ month contract. The role focuses on routine patching, endpoint protection, and incident management within the AME zone of our IT operations.

You will oversee vulnerabilities, dashboards, and on-call rotations, collaborating with local and global IT teams to ensure timely responses and improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in operational IT with a cyber security focus.
• IT BS degree preferred.
• Cyber security certifications (e.g., Security+ or CISSP) preferred.
• Ability to lead the AME zone cyber security team.
• Detail-oriented with strong collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Follow and ensure monthly security patching and endpoint protection, track progress and escalate as needed.
• Facilitate and manage urgent security vulnerabilities and communicate to senior management.
• Monitor Service Now queues and resolve incidents for the AME zone.
• Drive continuous improvement actions and create/update IT dashboards.
• Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation (~4 weeks per year).

Job Overview

This role is part of our IT operational team that supports the manufacturing domain activities and is a functional leader of the cyber security team within our operational manufacturing and engineering domain.

• Responsible for following and ensuring routine security patching and end point protection is completed monthly; this includes tracking site progress and escalating when needed.
• Facilitate and manage urgent security vulnerabilities and communicate to senior management.
• Monitors team Service Now queues and resolves incidents and requests for the AME zone.
• Responsible for driving continuous improvement actions.
• Responsible for creating and updating the various IT dashboards (excel and visual views).
• Participate in 24 x 7 on-call rotation with operational team (~ 4 weeks per year).

Required Skills & Experience

• Operational IT work experience (4+ years), including focus and experience in cyber security.
• IT Professional with IT BS degree preferred.
• Cyber Security certifications (COMPTIA Security +, CISSP, etc.) preferred.
• Ability to lead and facilitate the AME zone cyber security team.
• Quality oriented with high attention to detail.
• Experience with these tools or similar tools – WSUS, Active Directory, Kibana, OCS Inventory, Symantec, Microsoft Defender.
• Knowledge of operating systems – Windows, Linux.
• Ability to create visual dashboards in Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
• Experience with Service Now.
• Ability to collaborate with various development and infrastructure teams including IT locally and globally, building strong working relationships with the site managers.
• Ability to facilitate meetings including sending out meeting minutes and actions.
• Team player who can work autonomously and is self-motivated to deliver quality results in a timely manner.
• Ability to ask good questions to ensure full understanding of business impact and urgency of major incidents.
• Strong knowledge and experience with IT basic collaboration tools including MS M365 suite of applications.
