Job summary

EchoStar is seeking an IT Auditor to assess IT general controls, application controls, and integrated business processes to support SOX 404 compliance. The role partners with business units to remediate control deficiencies and protect company assets through data‑driven testing and governance enhancements.

Responsibilities include testing ITGCs, assisting in SOX activities, and communicating findings to leadership. Strong Excel skills, basic IT knowledge, and a drive for accuracy are essential.

Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge of computer systems, networks, or database concepts.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and filter data using Microsoft Excel.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills for walkthrough interviews with system owners.

Responsibilities

• Assist in evaluating technology risks by testing IT General Controls and automated application controls.
• Support SOX Section 404 compliance activities including walkthroughs and testing operating effectiveness.
• Participate in operational and regulatory compliance audits to evaluate control design and improvements.
• Conduct client interviews with process and control owners to understand systems and follow up on audit requests.
• Utilize Excel to review datasets and verify permissions, identifying exceptions.
• Communicate audit testing status and findings clearly to audit leadership.
