Job summary

NYS Office of Information Technology Services is seeking a Contract Management Specialist to support the Vendor Sourcing & Management Organization (VSMO). The role involves procurement activities, contract development, and coordination with budget and legal teams to ensure compliant acquisitions for ITS and client agencies.

The position may require travel and some lifting, with opportunities for professional development within the NY HELPS program.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher required, with progressive contract management experience.
Master's degree can substitute for one year of required experience.
Experience managing contracts, budgets, and procurement processes preferred.

Responsibilities

Purchase IT products and services using contract vehicles for ITS and clients.
Identify appropriate contract vehicles for purchases.
Conduct RFQs under state contracts and prepare procurement records.
Develop Statements of Work (SOWs) with program areas and portfolios.
Process Purchase Requisitions (PR) in SFS and convert PRs to POs.
Manage procurement tracking spreadsheets and vendor meetings.
Review contract amendments and extensions; justify rates and sole-source actions.
Coordinate with BSC on PR/PO creation and software license renewals.
Assist ITS attorneys on contractual matters and provide audit documentation.
Supervise staff as assigned.
