Job summary

Fives IT Department in Louisville is seeking an IT Co-op to gain hands-on experience across enterprise IT operations, user support, hardware/software troubleshooting, systems administration, cybersecurity practices, documentation, and project coordination.

Under the IT Manager's guidance, you will assist with day-to-day support requests, workstation setup, asset tracking, application support, process documentation, and technology improvement initiatives to strengthen the reliability, security,

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a college/university/technical program focused on IT, CS, cybersecurity, or MIS.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware, Windows OS, networking concepts, and common business apps.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 apps (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, SharePoint).
• Ability to follow documented procedures, learn quickly, and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assist help desk with basic hardware/software troubleshooting and user support.
• Support workstation deployments, imaging, and onboarding/offboarding tasks.
• Maintain IT asset records and inventory information.
• Assist with routine system administration tasks under supervision.
• Document IT procedures and knowledge base articles to improve consistency.
• Support cybersecurity initiatives and incident documentation.
• Participate in IT projects and process improvements.
• Provide timely, professional support and escalate when needed.
