Job summary

Edwards Aquifer Authority is seeking a Senior IT Systems Administrator to install, configure, and maintain enterprise applications, on-premises servers, and cloud environments. The role includes user support, backup planning, and system monitoring to ensure reliable operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong Windows Server, AD, and PowerShell skills, with experience across Azure/AWS and Microsoft 365, plus a focus on security and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or closely related field and 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Windows Server, AD, and enterprise system management.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and Microsoft 365 administration.
• Ability to script and automate tasks (PowerShell).
• Familiarity with backup, patch management, cybersecurity, and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, monitor, maintain, and secure Windows servers and AD/identity services.
• Provide elevated end-user support and resolve complex incidents.
• Manage virtualization and cloud resources; coordinate backups and DR planning.
• Document procedures and system configurations for IT operations.
• Collaborate with IT staff and external developers on system upgrades.
