Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking an IT Client Services Manager / Team Lead to oversee Deskside and executive support in a high-volume enterprise setting.

The role requires 10+ years of related experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and expertise in asset lifecycle and software license management. You will manage day-to-day team activities, budgeting and forecasting, staffing, and service quality, ensuring effective use of tools to document and resolve

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business administration, or a related field or an additional 4 years of experience is required.
  • 10+ years’ experience performing IT hardware asset management functions in a large enterprise.
  • ITIL 4 or ITIL 5 Managing Professional or Strategic Leader Certification and a current HDI certification is a customer requirement to be considered for this role.
  • Strong understanding of IT asset lifecycle management and software license management.
  • Ability to analyze data to identify trends, optimize spending, and report on asset status.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee deskside and executive support staff in a high-volume environment.
  • Manage day-to-day work activities of the team, including timelines and workload prioritization.
  • Coordinate program management activities such as budget and forecasting analysis, staffing and performance management, service improvement and quality.
  • Ensure tools and software used by the team enable identification, documentation, tracking and resolution of reported problems.
  • Foster a productive and motivating work environment and address issues from customers.

Qualified candidates will have experience running large enterprise level teams across multiple locations, very strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. The successful candidate will also have experience in program management activities such as budget and forecasting analysis, staffing and performance management, service improvement, and quality. This role will manage the day-to-day work activities of the team, including timelines, customer experience, and relationship management, and prioritizing and allocating workflow. The Client Services Team Lead will ensure the deskside support, and executive support staff uses the required tools and software to identify, document, track and resolve reported problems. The successful candidate will also provide a productive and motivating working environment and address any issues/disputes from customers or clients.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

A bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, or a related field or an additional 4 years of experience is required. 10+ years’ experience performing IT hardware asset management functions and responsibilities in a large enterprise. ITIL 4 or ITIL 5 Managing Professional or Strategic Leader Certification and a current HDI certification is a customer requirement to be considered for this role. Strong understanding of IT asset lifecycle management and software license management is crucial. Ability to quickly resolve unexpected IT challenges. Strong organizational and project management skills to handle complex asset lifecycle tasks. Excellent verbal and written communication to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to analyze data to identify trends, optimize spending, and report on asset status. Proficiency with IT asset management software, inventory management, and data analysis tools like Microsoft Excel. Previous experience supporting large federal cutomers / agancies is highly desired.

The likely salary range for this position is $111,155 - $150,385. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
