Job Description
The IT Business Systems Analyst is responsible for solving moderately complex system problems and for utilizing Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology employed by Prime and partnering with the business, IT, and other project stakeholders to elicit, define, and document the requirements and technical solutions for changes to Prime's specialty application.
Responsibilities
- Ensure understanding of business requirements and IT Business Requirement Specification acceptance criteria is successfully met prior to sign-off; identify and document system enhancement scope for assigned project.
- Provide work plan and detailed estimate, based on scope; drive scope management, prioritization and scope trade-off discussions with project teams.
- Interview stakeholders to elicit and document business needs for moderately complex modifications to Specialty application (ScriptMed), and define functional, high-level, and detailed system requirements for requested software changes.
- Actively engage in ScriptMed configuration solutioning discussions with project teams to ensure clear understanding of requirements, approach, and system solution; obtain signoff of deliverables by all impacted parties.
- Facilitate solution design review discussions between IT resources and business requestors to resolve questions regarding requested software changes, and participate with Quality Assurance and UAT resources to review related test cases and/or scenarios.
- Serve as subject matter expert and mentor for more junior members of the Specialty IT team. Participate in activities to ensure team and system development processes are improving and evolving to respond to changing business needs.
- Facilitate Scrum events such as daily standups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives; helping the product owner manage product backlog.
- Monitor and report project status, issues, and risks.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2 years of functional system requirements analysis experience within ScriptMed.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) or healthcare experience, understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, Exchanges, and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, PCI).
- Experience in software development life cycle within an internal or commercial organization.
- Understanding of security implications of domain.
- Experience in Prime claims systems.
- Proficiency in Visio, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
Physical Demands
- Ability to travel between Prime locations as needed.
- Ability to work outside of core hours (9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.).
- Constantly required to sit, use hands, talk, and hear.
- Frequently reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally lift/move up to 10 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
All employees must understand, comply with, and attest to security responsibilities and controls, and adhere to applicable legal, regulatory, and internal policies.
Potential pay ranges from $66,000 to $106,000 based on experience and skills.
