IT Business Lead Analyst with Liquidity experience – New York - C13/VP

Join Citi as an IT Business Lead Analyst with Liquidity experience – New York - C13/VP.

The individual will work in the FRMT (Financial Resource Management Technology) Data Services team within Citi’s Treasury Global Function. This team handles Data Steward activities, liaising with Data owners, Business Treasury, and Chief Data Office teams to provide business support and ensure compliance with Citi Data Governance Policy & Standards.

The group plays a key role in strategic projects supporting regulatory feedback and shaping Citi’s data infrastructure. We seek a Financial Services analyst (preferably with experience from a major US Bank) with 5-8 years of experience in regulatory reporting or liquidity management programs.

This is an individual contributor role responsible for acting as a liaison between business users and technologists, facilitating clear communication, and working on data governance solutions. Main Responsibilities
  1. Participate in data requirements and issues management for liquidity regulatory reporting (e.g., FR2052a, RLAP, RLEN).
  2. Design detective and preventative controls around liquidity data to support accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  3. Support committee discussions on liquidity issue remediation and prioritization.
  4. Implement recommendations to address liquidity data quality issues affecting balance sheet and liquidity optimization.
  5. Drive data governance policy and strategy execution.
  6. Partner with data consumers to address data quality challenges and implement data operating models to reduce risks.
  7. Collaborate with various functions to understand and improve Citi’s key data, processes, and flows, maintaining key artifacts and quality improvements.
  8. Lead consolidation of data information and ensure understanding of data flows across platforms.
  9. Lead initiatives to reduce data management risks and promote a data-driven culture.
  10. Identify data quality vulnerabilities and develop strategies for improvement using approved tools.
  11. Create and support documentation of data and system flows, aligning metadata, data dictionaries, and lineage.
  12. Serve as a trusted advisor to regional teams and business staff.
  13. Present updates and solutions to stakeholders to facilitate decision-making.
  14. Lead meetings to resolve issues, incorporating diverse perspectives.
  15. Promote the view of “data as an asset” and influence cultural change.
  16. Consult on system specifications and provide operational support.
  17. Identify risks and impacts, considering business implications of technology applications.
  18. Mentor analysts and support team collaboration to meet business objectives.
  19. Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and Citi policies, escalating issues as needed.
  20. Analyze data to identify trends and patterns using statistical techniques.
  21. Understand current data processes and explore innovative solutions.
Qualifications
  • 2-8 years of experience in regulatory reporting, data or liquidity management, preferably in Data Management, Legal, Controllers, Treasury, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of liquidity-based data, regulations (US LCR, NSFR, FR 2052a), and financial instruments like SFTs or derivatives.
  • At least 5+ years of banking and financial services experience, with 3+ years in data analysis/investigation and 5+ years in SQL.
  • Proficiency in presentation tools and excellent communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, team player, with high energy and a desire to grow.
  • Knowledge of business analysis procedures, technical areas, and analytical techniques.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work with large data volumes.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent; MBA or CFA Level 1 preferred.
