Eightelevengroup is seeking an SAP IS-U FI-CA Functional Analyst in Charlotte, NC for a 1-year contract. The hybrid role requires three days onsite, and offers $65–$75 per hour with benefits. W-2 only, visa sponsorship not available.

You will partner with Finance and functional teams to resolve production issues, implement FI-CA configurations, and ensure accurate billing, settlements, and regulatory compliance.

SAP IS-U FI-CA Functional Analyst

Compensation: $65 - $75 per hour in addition to benefits

1-year contract with strong opportunity for extension or full-time hire

W-2 only. No Corp-to-Corp or 1099 arrangements. Successful candidate must be able to work on W-2 without visa sponsorship both now and in the future.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Brooksource is seeking an experienced SAP IS-U FI-CA Functional Analyst to support and enhance SAP solutions related to utility customer financial and receivables processes. This role is ideal for a candidate with deep expertise in SAP Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable (FI-CA) and a strong understanding of accounting and financial operations. You will work closely with business stakeholders, Finance, functional teams, and technical resources to resolve complex production issues, deliver enhancements, and translate business and financial requirements into effective SAP solutions. The position plays a key role in supporting SAP production operations, improving the stability, efficiency, and effectiveness of FI-CA capabilities, and ensuring integration with broader financial and accounting processes. The ideal candidate is comfortable moving between SAP technology, utility business processes, and accounting, and thrives in a dynamic, production-support environment where priorities can shift quickly.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Serve as the functional subject-matter expert for SAP IS-U FI-CA (Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable) processes.
• Provide hands‑on functional support for production issues, system enhancements, projects, configuration, and testing.
• Support key FI-CA processes, including accounts receivable/payable, payments and payment runs, dunning and collections, refunds, security deposits, write‑offs, interest, installment plans, and clearing/clearing control.
• Analyze and resolve complex production issues in collaboration with functional and technical teams, identifying root causes and implementing sustainable solutions.
• Translate financial, accounting, billing, and business requirements into functional designs and SAP configurations.
• Support high‑volume and mass‑processing activities within SAP FI-CA.
• Participate throughout the solution lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, configuration, testing, defect resolution, implementation, and production support.
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to evaluate and prioritize defects, enhancements, and operational needs.
• Lead and facilitate defect‑prioritization discussions, workshops, and working sessions.
• Clearly communicate complex SAP and financial concepts to both business and technical audiences.
• Work with SAP accounting and General Ledger‑related processes, including financial code‑block mapping and month‑end financial processing.
• Evaluate the accounting impact of SAP defects, configuration changes, and enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with financial controls, audit trails, regulatory requirements, tax reporting, and data archiving standards.
• Collaborate effectively across business, Finance, functional, and technical organizations.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Strong functional experience with SAP FI-CA (Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable).
• In‑depth knowledge of SAP FI-CA processes and configuration.
• Experience supporting dunning, payments, refunds, clearing, and other FI‑CA processes.
• Experience analyzing and resolving complex SAP production issues and supporting SAP production environments.
• Ability to translate complex financial, accounting, and billing requirements into structured SAP solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with attention to detail and sound judgment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical and financial concepts to diverse audiences.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with business, Finance, functional, and technical teams.
• Experience managing stakeholders and facilitating cross‑functional discussions, workshops, and working sessions.
• Knowledge of SAP IS-U and integration between FI-CA and related SAP modules.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field (preferred).
• Accounting degree and/or professional accounting certification, such as CPA (preferred).
• Experience with SAP General Ledger and accounting integration (preferred).
• Experience with SAP financial code‑block mapping (preferred).
• Experience supporting month‑end financial processing (preferred).
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP HANA reporting (preferred).
• Product management experience (preferred).
• Utility industry and SAP IS-U experience (preferred).
• Knowledge of financial controls, audit trails, regulatory or compliance requirements, tax reporting, and data archiving (preferred).
