Tire Rack is seeking an analytical and collaborative IT Business Analyst II to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams. This role plays a critical part in translating business needs into clear requirements that drive successful technology solutions and process improvements.

The IT Business Analyst II partners with project sponsors, end users, and development teams to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and create functional documentation that enables efficient and effective software development. What You'll Do

Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering

• Partner with stakeholders to identify, analyze, and document business requirements for technology initiatives and process improvements.
• Conduct interviews, workshops, and discussions with business users to understand challenges and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Translate business needs into clear functional requirements and design documentation for development teams.
• Analyze data and business processes to provide actionable recommendations and support informed decision-making.

Project Coordination & Execution

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously from initial concept through implementation and post-deployment support.
• Collaborate closely with Software Development, IT, and business teams to ensure project objectives and requirements are clearly understood.
• Assist in prioritizing project requirements and managing changing business needs throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor project progress and communicate updates, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders.

Process Improvement & Problem Solving

• Evaluate current processes and systems to identify opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness improvements.
• Develop practical solutions to business challenges through analysis, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Support testing activities and assist with validating solutions to ensure business requirements have been met.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and business process records.

Additional Responsibilities

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the ability to create reports and provide recommendations.
• Experience managing multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to understand business challenges and develop practical, technology-driven solutions.
• Experience with project management and business analysis tools.
• Strong proficiency with spreadsheet applications and data analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in software development environments and collaborating with technical teams.
• Knowledge of business process mapping, requirements gathering methodologies, and project lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project methodologies.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

Schedule

Typical Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Additional hours, including occasional evenings and weekends, may be required based on project needs. Local travel may also be required.
