Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled IT Business Analyst with over 4+ years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong analytical and communication skills, capable of working across cross-functional teams to bridge the gap between business and technology. They should be able to produce clear documentation, present ideas effectively, and actively contribute to both business and technical discussions. Candidate should be passionate about solving complex business challenges through technology and thrive in fast-paced environments.
Analytics Skillset (Required): Strong proficiency in Excel modelling and PowerPoint creation for commercial analytics and presentation of insights
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to elicit, analyse, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation including BRD, FRD, SRS, and WBS
- Translate business needs into well-defined use cases, user stories, process flows, and wireframes
- Work closely with development, QA, and architecture teams to ensure solutions are technically feasible and aligned with business goals
- Facilitate requirement workshops, stakeholder meetings, and product backlog grooming sessions
- Support testing efforts by preparing test cases, validating results, and participating in UAT
- Assist in project planning, risk assessment, and change management activities
- Participate in solution rollouts by preparing training materials, user manuals, and conducting demo sessions
- Identify and support implementation of process improvements and technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency
- Prepare meeting notes, project proposals, project reports, case studies, and presentations
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform product decisions and positioning
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews as part of the Agile team
- Collaborate with Scrum Master and Product Owner (or act as PO where applicable) to ensure delivery of high-value features
- Encourage innovation and contribute to solution brainstorming sessions
- Process-oriented, self-managed, and capable of multi-tasking
Basic (Must Have):
- Proficient with wireframing, diagramming, and prototyping tools (e.g., Balsamiq, Figma, Azure XD), project management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps), and presentation tools (e.g., MS PowerPoint, Google Slides, Miro)
- Understanding of frontend & backend technology, system architecture, development frameworks, cross-platform solutions, and database structures
- Familiarity with SQL, NoSQL, Web APIs, and third-party integrations including location services, messaging systems, payment gateways, charts, and social APIs
- Strong understanding of SDLC and methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, Waterfall
- Efficient in preparing user stories, acceptance criteria, and product backlog
Qualifications:
- Education: BCA / B.E./ BTech / MCA / MTech / Equivalent
- Experience: Minimum of 4+ years in a Business Analyst or similar role within technology-driven environments
- Certifications (Preferred): CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, or Scrum-based certifications (BA/PO)
- Additional Skills (Preferred): Working knowledge of SQL, data analysis tools, and domain expertise in Finance, Healthcare, E-commerce, Pharma, Life Sciences (optional)
