Job summary

Maxonic Inc. is seeking a seasoned Business Analyst to partner with Product Owners, elicit requirements from stakeholders, and translate them into detailed system specifications.

You will develop training materials for Sales, business stakeholders, and Customer Support, and support decision making with data-driven insights. You will deliver comprehensive functional specifications, data mappings, and interfaces while collaborating with architects and developers on technical design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education/experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a business analyst in large organizations.
• 4+ years of experience in designing user interfaces with customer centric approach.
• Moderate level SQL query analysis and build required.
• Experience in IT role with global applications.
• Experience in a broad set of corporate IT initiatives and applications.
• Facilitates/leads design teams through iterative ideation, discovery, and concepting exercises.
• Creates deliverables that tell a compelling story - written, oral, and visual.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Product Owner(s) to ensure backlog refinement across projects.
• Interact with stakeholders to elicit requirements and recommend solutions.
• Translate business requirements into detailed system specifications.
• Develop training materials and train Sales, Business stakeholders, and Customer support.
• Support decision making using data and market-driven approaches.
• Deliver functional specifications including hierarchy, workflow, rules, interfaces and data mapping.
• Collaborate with Technical Architects and Developers on technical strategy and designs.
• Perform gap analysis between applications and customer requirements; estimate impact.
• Coordinate with Development, QA, and Production Support to verify changes.
• Demonstrate system changes to stakeholders to address business needs.
• Manage multiple priorities with effective organization and communication.
• Promote BA best practices, methodology, and tools.
• Work across multiple project teams to resolve blockers and ensure communication.
• Ensure acceptance criteria are met via user acceptance testing.

• Partnering with Product Owner(s) to ensure continuous refinement of backlog, which may include stories from multiple projects.
• Be responsible for direct interaction with stakeholders including, but not limited to, eliciting comprehensive business requirements and use cases and recommending appropriate solutions.
• Accurately translates business requirements to detail-level system specifications.
• Develop training materials and provide training to Sales, Business stake holders and Customer support.
• Support business team in decision making using data and market driven approaches.
• Deliver precise functional specifications to include functional hierarchy, workflow, business rules, interface definitions and design, and data mapping.
• Engage with Technical Architects and Developers on technical strategy and designs to meet the business needs.
• Conduct gap analysis between application and stated customer requirements and collaborate with Architects and Developers to estimate project impact.
• Work with Development, QA, and Production Support teams to communicate, verify, and test the desired functionality changes.
• Work with the stakeholders to demonstrate the changes to the system to ensure all relevant business needs are addressed.
• Manage multiple competing priorities through effective organization and communication.
• Recommend and institute BA best practice and methodology and tools.
• Work within or across multiple project teams to ensure that blockers are resolved, and communication gaps are plugged quickly and efficiently.
• Ensure quality and completeness of the finished product by participating in user acceptance testing, ensuring that acceptance criteria are met.

Required Skills/Education

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education/experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Exceptional prioritization, proficient problem analysis, process, and project management skills.
• 5+ years of experience as a business analyst in large organizations.
• 4+ years of experience in designing user interfaces with customer centric approach.
