Overview: The Base Assets & Emerging Countries (BAEC) business is responsible for Chevron-operated assets across a diverse global portfolio, including San Joaquin Valley, Saudi Arabia Partitioned Zone, Thailand, Bangladesh, Venezuela, Malaysia, and other emerging and transition assets. The BAEC Digital Team serves as the bridge between business priorities and Chevron's enterprise technology capabilities. The team ensures that digital solutions, data products, AI capabilities, cybersecurity initiatives, operational technologies, and enterprise applications are effectively deployed and adopted across BAEC assets to improve business outcomes. Within the team, Business Analysts play a critical role translating business needs into actionable solutions, partnering with both business stakeholders and enterprise technology teams to deliver measurable value. This role provides analytical and project management support across the full lifecycle of initiatives (work intake, development, deployment/testing, support) including workflow and process definition while ensuring successful execution within BAEC assets. The BAEC Business Analyst serves as a partner to asset and functional stakeholders, helping identify opportunities, define and document business requirements, develop business cases, support prioritization decisions, coordinate solution delivery, and drive adoption of digital capabilities. The Business Analyst will support initiatives throughout the entire lifecycle, from opportunity identification and work intake through requirements definition, solution design, deployment, adoption, and value realization. The role will actively engage enterprise delivery teams and asset stakeholders to ensure enterprise capabilities are fit-for-purpose. The successful candidate will operate across multiple business domains, geographies and time zones, serving as a connector between asset teams, business leaders, digital program managers, enterprise product teams, IT delivery teams, and external partners. Successful candidates must demonstrate comfort working in ambiguous situations, balancing strategic and tactical work, and delivering high-quality outcomes under compressed timelines. The role requires flexibility, adaptability, sound judgment, and a strong bias toward action while maintaining alignment with business objectives and enterprise standards.

Responsibilities

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner with business stakeholders, Program Managers, Asset IT Leads, Architects, Cyber Advisors, Data & Insights teams, and enterprise delivery organizations. Ensure solutions align with enterprise standards while supporting BAEC-specific business needs. Facilitate communication across geographically dispersed assets and stakeholders.
  • Execution and Agility - Respond quickly to evolving business needs and emerging priorities across BAEC assets and functions. Support rapid-turnaround analyses, leadership requests, business planning activities, and strategic initiatives. Effectively manage multiple concurrent priorities while maintaining focus on business outcomes. Adapt plans and approaches as requirements evolve, ensuring alignment and clear stakeholder communication. Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership and urgency to advance work, remove obstacles, and drive timely decision-making.
