Job summary

Highmark Health offers the Summer 2027 Undergraduate IT Audit Internship to gain hands-on experience with IT audit, cybersecurity, data privacy, risk management, and governance across Highmark Health and its subsidiaries.

As part of Internal Audit, interns collaborate with IT Audit, Information Security, Privacy, and Risk Management teams to evaluate controls, protect assets, and ensure regulatory compliance, HIPAA, and internal policies.

Qualifications

• Full or part-time enrollment in an accredited college or university baccalaureate program.
• Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems.
• Internship provides hands-on experience across IT audit, cybersecurity, data privacy, risk management, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders in planning assignments.
• Under supervision, provide entry-level professional services with guidance from senior personnel.
• Participate in projects to develop professional skills for the organization.
• Assist in planning and implementing unit projects and initiatives.
• Conduct research and reporting with recommendations for action.
• Undertake related studies or enrichment programs as appropriate.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
