Job summary

Highmark Health offers the Summer 2027 Undergraduate IT Audit Internship in Olympia, WA, providing hands-on experience across IT audit, cybersecurity, data privacy, and governance with Highmark Health and affiliates.

Interns will work with IT Audit, Information Security, Privacy, and Risk Management professionals to evaluate controls, support system implementations, and develop risk-based recommendations in a regulated environment, including HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate enrollment in accredited college or university baccalaureate program.
• Preferred: Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, IT, CS, Cybersecurity, Information Systems or related field.
• Interest in IT audit, cybersecurity, data privacy, risk management, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders in planning assignments.
• Receive guidance from senior personnel while performing entry-level professional services.
• Participate in projects to develop professional skills.
• Assist in planning and implementing unit projects and initiatives.
• Conduct research and reporting with recommendations for action.
• Engage in enrichment programs aligned to operating unit objectives.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
