Job summary

Fannie Mae, a leading housing finance enterprise, seeks an IT Audit Director to lead audits across AI, cyber security, resiliency, and cloud environments. You will direct planning, execution, and reporting while mentoring colleagues and coordinating with business partners.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in IT Audit or IT Risk, strong PM skills, and deep knowledge of AI/cloud infrastructure. This role is office-based in Reston, VA with hybrid options depending on team needs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in IT Audit, IT Risk Management, or Information Security.
• Expert knowledge of cyber security, AI, or cloud infrastructure technologies such as Amazon Web Services.
• Strong project management skills.
• Prior experience coaching and providing feedback to audit staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Critical thinking skills.
• Data analytics skills including creating visualizations and using tools like Power BI/Tableau/Plotly/Seaborn.
• Experience auditing AI solutions and risks; knowledge of agentic AI architectures.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee audits in AI, cyber security, resiliency and cloud infrastructure areas.
• Identify risks and adjust audit plans accordingly.
• Develop and execute annual Audit plans focusing on top IT risks.
• Provide day-to-day project management and coaching to IT Auditors.
• Be hands-on with testing of complex topics with focus on high-risk areas.
• Create viewpoints on top risks and share insights with stakeholders.
• Mentor junior staff and share domain knowledge.
• Build relationships with business partners and advise staff.
• Explore data analytics/automation/AI for testing and skill development.
