Job summary

IDB Bank in New York is seeking an seasoned leader to direct complex IT and cybersecurity audits for a banking environment, aligning with FFIEC, NYSDFS 500, COBIT and ITIL frameworks. You will guide risk-based audits, assessments and remediation efforts across IT processes, data protection and business continuity.

You will collaborate with management and board committees, driving improvements while navigating evolving regulatory expectations in a hybrid work setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, CS or related field required.
• 15+ years of advanced auditing in a banking environment.
• Deep knowledge of cybersecurity, privacy and IT risk strategies.
• Advanced understanding of information systems audit concepts and controls.
• Expert knowledge of IT regulatory environment and banking regs.
• Familiarity with IT governance and auditing standards.
• Strong adaptability, communication, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to leverage audit tools to enhance processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead risk-based IT and cybersecurity audits aligned to regulatory guidance.
• Develop IT risk assessments and audit plans for the audit universe.
• Stay current on industry IT trends and regulatory expectations.
• Execute high-value IT audits, identify risks, and recommend improvements.
• Document reviews per professional standards and manage evidence.
• Oversee audit issue follow-up and remediation validation.
• Participate in department initiatives and new product/process audits.
