Job summary

Elliott Davis Advisory, LLC is seeking an Audit Staff to assist in planning and executing audits for clients as part of the firm’s annual audit plan. You will research, review processes, and provide recommendations to enhance client policies and procedures.

You will build positive client relationships, maintain confidentiality, and collaborate with the engagement team to deliver high-quality results while adhering to firm standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with a GPA of 3.25 or higher.
• 0-2 years of accounting experience (audit experience preferred).
• CPA certification or significant progress toward certification.
• Strong time and work management skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills; effective.

Responsibilities

• Identify issues and apply accounting principles/auditing procedures.
• Prepare clear, concise work papers with conclusions and recommendations for client correspondence.
• Develop positive working relationships with clients and understand their business needs.
• Maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Demonstrate exemplary work habits in clients’ offices.
• Become an effective part of the client service team via networking with others.
• Respond to clients in a timely manner as promised.
• Adhere to the firm’s practice management procedures/systems.
• Escalate engagement status to senior/manager as needed.
• Seek timely feedback and assistance.
• Collaborate to identify and sell opportunities among existing clients.
• Participate in recruiting, training, and mentoring of new staff and interns.
