Job summary

The Butte County Office of Education is seeking an Information Technology Logistics Assistant to manage technology assets, assist with device provisioning, and provide help desk support. The role emphasizes accurate recordkeeping and adherence to asset policies in a school environment.

You will maintain storerooms, track equipment lifecycle, and coordinate disposal with secure data wiping. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with inventory and asset management systems is required.
• Familiarity with disposal procedures and data security policies.
• Knowledge of mobile device management (MDM) practices and enrollment processes.
• Ability to organize storerooms, label items, and maintain secure layouts.
• Understanding of procurement processes and PO handling.
• Experience configuring end-user devices and peripherals in an educational setting.
• Proficiency with commonly used software in schools and offices.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line help desk support for hardware, networking, and software issues.
• Assist with scheduling and tracking work orders per policy.
• Maintain accurate inventory records for technology assets.
• Tag, document, and verify new equipment against purchase orders.
• Use MDM tools to enroll, configure, and monitor devices.
• Log help desk interactions and asset transactions in the ticketing system.
